Indeed, over the past 28 years, Maura estimates she has taken 28,000 cats, from Cavan and the surrounding areas, into the Sanctuary.
For some time, she has exercised a policy of neutering the kittens and cats in her care in an effort to keep the population down. She told Zoe Tunney the following message ahead of Christmas.
