LISTEN BACK: Water quality and ecosystems at the heart of biodiversity week

Next week is biodiversity week and a number of events are taking place across Monaghan to create awareness and find ways of providing solutions to some of the issues that have arisen. Ben Malone from the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO) is the community water officer for Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.

Ben spoke to the Wider View this week and highlighted how he is hosting an event on Sunday, the 28th of May next that will provide everyone locally with an opportunity to experience the eco system and biodiversity on Sliabh Beagh.

First though, he explained what the local authority waters programme is all about.
