Additional accommodation is to be provided at St Bricin's College in Belturbet and at St Mogue's College in Bawnboy. That's according to Cavan Monaghan Fianna Fail TD, Deputy Brendan Smith, who added that it's modular accommodation and signifies important developments in the provision of second-level education in west Cavan.
Deputy Smith has also called for 'greater emphasis" to be placed on North-South cooperation in the area of further education. Speaking to the Wider View this week, he highlighted how the value of All-Ireland cooperation in the health and education sectors can never be underestimated.
First though, he began by highlighting the significance of these latest developments at the two west Cavan schools.
