Emanuel Laranjeira from Portugal who now lives in Longford considers three things as the happiest moments of his life; when he proposed and married his wife, when his children were born and when he first performed live as a musician. His saddest moment was when his son suffered from hydronephrosis; a condition where one or both kidneys become stretched and swollen as the result of a build-up of urine inside them. Although he survived, it was a long struggle and it felt like "the floor or ground fell out from underneath his feet."
