A Longford business woman is warning others to be very vigilant after she almost lost up to €5,000 last week.
Pat Murphy says she received a call purporting to be from a well known courier firm who told her she had to pay a small amount of charges before they could release orders made to them for certain items.
The business woman says because they were waiting on goods to be delivered to them she was tricked into giving bank details to assist in paying the "charges".

She told the Joe Finnegan Show it was only because her partner had been suspicious that she had kept a close eye on the bank account for the rest of the day, and was able to react quickly when she saw money being withdrawn from it.
