A Monaghan-based business has become Ireland’s first carbon neutral shredding company.
M1 Documents Solutions is a GDPR-compliant shredding service that was established in 2007.
Its work requires lorries to clock up a lot of mileage to travelling the length of the country.
However, it’s managing director, John Nealon, has reduced the company’s carbon footprint by introducing an “eco-driving” initiative and a “travel for a purpose” policy.
M1 Documents Solutions also plans to introduce new lorries with better emission standards over the next three years, and has teamed up with Trees for the Future and Self Help Africa to further offset its carbon emissions.
