A Monaghan brewery is taking part in a nationwide initiative to promote Irish craft beers with the launch of a new online Irish beer map.
The resource was created to highlight the abundance of independent craft breweries across the country and to generate public interest by linking craft breweries to specific destinations.
Brehon Brewhouse in Inniskeen was founded by Seamus McMahon in 2014.
He wanted to expand his existing dairy farm in a new way, and as there were no local breweries in the area, he saw an exciting opportunity.
The Brewhouse is planning several events throughout the summer season in a safe and covid compliant setting, and also offers tours of the brewery.
Seamus spoke to our reporter, Diarmuid Pepper, about the establishment of the brewery, his inclusion in the newly-launched Irish beer map, and his hopes that the Brewhouse can become a staycation attraction:
