Employers are being encouraged to create "migraine friendly workplaces" to help the over 600,000 people in Ireland who suffer from migraines.
The Migraine Association of Ireland has launched its 'Migraine in the Workplace' which will run until the end of 2021.
It will highlight the financial impact non-migraine friendly workplaces have on the economy, how it affects career progression for those who suffer from migraines, educating businesses on how they can improve conditions.
Those working with migraines often fear being seen as weak if they speak up about it, and can be told to just get on with it or that it's just a headache.
