There was a lot of success for local food producers across the Northern Sound region at the recent Blas na hEireann Awards, particularly across Co Cavan.
Cavan Producers picked up Gold, Silver and Bronze awards across 25 categories at the recent awards which celebrate the best Irish food and drink producers.
"Created in Cavan" is the county's new food and drinks brand that supports local food producers.

Cavan's Food Strategy Co-ordinator, Patricia Smith, spoke to our reporter Diarmuid Pepper about how "Created in Cavan" came to be and paid homage to the county's success at the Blas na hEireann awards:
