A Cavan garden centre owner says the Covid-19 lockdown was the kick he needed to finally get involved in e-commerce.
Niall Walsh, of Tullyvin Garden Centre said he had long wanted to create an online presence but never got around to doing so for one reason or another.
But with the assistance of a Trading Online Voucher Grant, which offers financial assistance up to €2,500 to small businesses that wish to improve their online presence, Tullyvin Garden Centre was able to get up and running online.
Niall approached Leitrim man Dave McEvoy, of Dmac Media, to help with the move online, and we’ll be hearing from Dave later in the show.
Our reporter, Diarmuid Pepper, caught up with Niall to ask him about how he got his e-commerce site up and running:

He says Irish consumers have become far more comfortable with placing their orders online over the past year, and says it’s important for Irish retailers to be prepared for Irish consumers now opting for the convenience of shopping online.
He spoke to our reporter Diarmuid Pepper about Tullyvin’s switch to e-commerce and offered some tips for retailers looking to get online:
