Cavan Monaghan ETB in conjunction with Monaghan Mushrooms and other local industries have collaborated to develop a Traineeship as an introduction to science and to the skills required to work in a laboratory, food production, quality control or science-related environment.
The Science sector plays a major role in Ireland’s economy, with many of the world’s top companies operating bases in the country. One of the reasons these companies have been attracted to Ireland is the skilled and educated young workforce.
Sinead McKenna from Cavan Monaghan ETB, Tom O’Conner who graduated from the traineeship last year and Darragh Gaffney who is the research and development manager with Monaghan Research Biosciences Limited joined Bottom Line host Pauric Clerkin to discuss the new traineeship.
