Covid-19 has had a marked effect on all disciplines of sport, with Masters GAA a sport which saw their 2020 calendar totally cancelled. Masters GAA sits outside the GAA family and is not administrated from Croke Park. Jimmy Galligan is vice chairman of the National Masters committee and has also been heavily involved with the Cavan team in recent years in a management and coaching capacity. Speaking to Sean McCaffrey he explained that while the lockdown had come at time when the sport was growing, they remain positive that it can return before the end of the year.
