Works to construct a marina in Clones town are to get underway next month.
Contracts were signed this morning to begin Phase Two of the restoration of the Ulster Canal.
This part of the project will see the development of an amenity area, a looped walkway and a forty-birth marina at the Ulster Canal Stores building.
Last month, €40 million was granted under the Shared Island fund for Phase Three, which would bring the canal from Castlesaunderson to Clones.
Speaking after Waterways Ireland signed the contracts, Minister Heather Humphreys said it's an important day for the town.
