Works in the Church Square area of Monaghan Town are expected to be finished by the end of April.
Upon completion the area in front of the courthouse will enhance the streetscape of the centre of the town. The Cathaoirleach of Monaghan County Council, David Maxwell says the new look area will be available to host events which in turn should increase footfall and add to the overall feel of the town centre. Monaghan County Council has thanked everyone for their patience during the upgrades being carried out.
The project is being funded by Fáilte Ireland via Monaghan Tourism with match funding from Monaghan County Council also.
