Works on Cashel Cross in Co Cavan is set to be complete in the coming weeks. That’s according to Cavan County Council who confirmed the works will cost in excess of €600,000 when completed. The N55 Cashel Cross Project is a TII funded road safety scheme to provide right turning lanes on the N55 for the L2506 and L6568 local roads.
The scheme was designed by Barry Transportation and the Construction Contract was awarded to S Wilkin and Sons Limited, Rockcorry, Co Monaghan. Construction commenced in April on the junction and will be now completed by September. The works involved minor realignments of the L6568 and L2506 to provide a staggered junction and the introduction of right turning lanes on the N55 to both local roads.
