Works on the upgrade of the waste water plant in Ballyjamesduff will commence in March. The confirmation came about after local Councillor Trevor Smith sought an update following the approved planning permission in recent months for the plant. Cavan County Council said it would take two years to complete.
Cllr Smith said that it has took a long time to get to this stage with the amount of surveys and the planning stages but he says it's welcome news that this phase now is the construction stage. The local councillor says it's good news for the town adding that if you don't have the basic infrastructure, the delivery of housing is in turn affected.
