Works have commenced on the Scotshouse village active travel project. The project will provide a safe pedestrian route to the village for residents of the estate, and for children attending St Enda's National School and the newly opened pre and after school service located in the grounds of the school.
According to Monaghan County Council, on completion this will create a safe walking route to the end of the village for the first time. It will also encourage children to walk to school and will allow the school to become involved in active travel initiatives.
