Workers at Kyte Powertech in Cavan town have taken to the picket line today.
They are taking 24 hour industrial action over pay and conditions at the company.
Siptu's Martin O'Rourke who is representing employees says he is disappointed with Kyte Power Tech's approach to the difficulties that arose.

He says the cost of living is so high now that some workers can't afford to put fuel in their cars to get to work.
Mr O'Rourke added that employees will take further action with a two-day stoppage planned for next week:
