Work is to begin on the Monaghan Peace Campus later this month.
The €14.5 million project will be built on the junction off Glaslough Street and the North Road, in a premises that was previously owned by Monaghan County Council.
Felix O'Hare builders from Newry have been chosen as the contractor and they will be onsite from the 27th of July.
Work is expected to take place over a 21 month period.
The Campus will include a social enterprise café, a library, a recording studio, and a cultural heritage area, as well as delivering a number of cross-community programmes.
It will also include space for use by the Orange Order.
