Work on a new Digital Hub extension at the M:Tek in Monaghan town is to start later this month.
The building phase of the €578,000 project was launched earlier today, with local Minister Heather Humphreys overseeing the progress.
CEO of Enterprising Monaghan, Finbarr Daly says the development will be "the office near home, but not at home", and provide an alternative for those who are remote working.
He says they'll not be wasting time in getting construction underway.
Minister Heather Humphreys said its further proof that rural Ireland can be a great place to live and work.
