Work on the new Civil Defence Headquarters in Cavan is progressing.
The County Council has published its plans for the new facility and has applied for planning permission.
The County Council has purchased a building in the business park in Pullamore to be converted into the new headquarters.
It's issued a Part 8 notice saying it wants to merge three existing units in the building into one and change its use into the headquarters.
It says the plans include the incorporating of vehicle and equipment storage, training facilities, offices and a canteen at units 5, 6 and 7 in the park.
The plans have now gone to public consultation with submissions open until June 24th.
