A woman is due before the courts later today charged in connection with the murder of a pensioner in Dublin.
The body of Maura Bergin was found at her home in Seville Place earlier this week.
Maura Bergin, a local church volunteer was found dead at around 11.50am Wednesday morning.
Locals alerted Gardai when they noticed a woman acting in an an "agitated state".
Following a post-mortem, it was revealed Maura had been stabbed a number of times.
A woman in her 40's was later arrested in connection with the murder, she's now been charged and is due before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
Gardai have said they are continuing to "investigate all the circumstances" following the murder and have appealed for witnesses who might be able to help their investigation.
