A 42-year-old woman, who has appeared before Trim District Court charged with the murder of two men nine years ago, has been sent forward for trial.
Ruth Lawrence with an address at Patrick's Cottage, Ross, Mountnugent is charged with the murder of 32-year-old Eoin O'Connor and Anthony Keegan aged 33 on dates unknown between April the 22nd and May the 26th 2014 at an unknown location in the State.
The bodies of both men were found wrapped in plastic sheeting after being buried in a shallow grave on Lough Sheelin.
During today's court hearing, Detective Garda Ray Flynn said that he served a book of evidence on Ms Lawrence prior to the sitting.
Judge Cormac Dunne subsequently sent her forward for trial at the Central Criminal Court on a date yet to be fixed.
The defendant was then remanded in custody.
Meanwhile, a number of arrests were made during the Gardaí investigation into the men's deaths, however no one had been charged in connection with the incident until Ms Lawrence was extradited back from South Africa in May by the South African Police Service.
It is known that the men travelled together to the Cavan area in a silver Ford Focus car registration 04 D 46380 that was found abandoned at a scenic view point over Lough Owell near Mullingar.
