20 year Amy Stokes who died in a collision on Monday night will be laid to rest on Saturday morning.
Amy had lived in Ballyconnell for a number of years and was a passenger in the single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred on the Ballyconnell Road in Derrylin.
Collision Investigation Unit detectives continue to investigate the circumstances of the tragic collision that occurred at 10.50pm on Monday night last, and would like to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage which could assist with our enquiries. Amy has been described as an amazing person with a heart of gold. A loving wife, daughter, sister, daughter-in-law and friend, and thought the world of her husband Damien, her parents, brothers and sisters and her in-laws.
Reposing in Lawlor’s Funeral Home Belturbert, Co Cavan on Friday 27th from 2.30pm untill 4.30pm with removal to Our lady of Lourdes Church Ballyconnell for prayers at 5pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 28th at 11am. Following Mass, Amy will be laid to rest in Carrick-On-Shannon Cemetery.
