A young woman has been airlifted to hospital following a two- vehicle collision near Swanlinbar in Co. Cavan.
The young woman in her late teens was one of the motorists and her injuries are believed to be described as serious.
The collision occurred on the R202 at Derrbeg near Swanlinbar shortly after 3.15pm yesterday afternoon.

She was was airlifted to Galway University Hospital for treatment, while the occupants of the second car did not require any immediate medical treatment.
