Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the report of an incident in the Drummeer Road area of Maguiresbridge on Tuesday 7th May. Officers received a report on Tuesday morning that the female occupant of a house in the area had sustained a number of serious injuries and had been taken to hospital by ambulance. The woman, aged in her 50's, remains in a critical condition in hospital at this time. A 54 year old man was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries to be conducted.
