A woman has died following a tragic road incident in Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh yesterday afternoon. 75-year-old Philomena Baker has been described by those who knew her as a "beautiful lady" who was a "beloved wife" and a "devoted mother." In a statement issued to Northern Sound, police said they attended the sudden death of a woman in her 70s in the Castlebalfour Road area of Lisnaskea yesterday. The incident is being investigated as an accident and is not suspicious at this time.
Fermanagh MLA Aine Murphy said the entire community is in a "deep sense of shock" following the incident. She added that her thoughts and prayers are with Philomena's family and friends at this very difficult time and also the close knit communities of Lisnaskea and Newtownbutler who are "joined in grief" at this time.
