The wife of a man killed in a four-car collision in Markethill last weekend has died one week after her husband.
Ciera and Patrick Grimley were parents to three children and were travelling home from Patrick’s 40th birthday celebrations at 1:20 am on Saturday, November 4th when tragedy struck. Patrick died at the scene. His wife, passed away from her injuries one week on from the crash, on Saturday last.
In all, nine people were taken to hospital after the four-car incident which was attended by nine ambulance crews. Another woman involved in the accident, 44-year-old Ciara McElvanna from the Armagh area, passed away at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Wednesday. She was a mother-of-four. Detective Sergeant McIvor of the PSNI’s Collision Investigation Unit has said a “full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is ongoing”. Officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
