Maggie O'Rourke has described the situation as "scandalous."

A local mother living in Corlough in West Cavan has described 12 days without electricity following Storm Eowyn as scandalous. Maggie O'Rourke has three children under the age of 10 and says her families' health has deteriorated due to the power outages. She said her house like many in the area also endured one week without electricity following Storm Darragh before Christmas.

Maggie says she feels forgotten about and beyond frustrated by the lack of basis services in her house. Children returned to school in the Corlough area today, the first time since Storm Eowyn as a generator was sourced for the local school. The local mother says she has lost count of the times they have lost electricity and has put these outages down to the lack of maintenance of forestry in the area.

Maggie says she is one of the many that feels left in the dark;
