A Monaghan man has outlined his support for Sean Quinn.
According to Eamon McCaughey, Sean Quinn should not have put his trust state broadcaster RTE.
Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show, the Monaghan man said he believed the programme was "sensationalised" and made Mr Quinn out to be a bogeyman like figure.
In his views, the production was "carefully crafted for a cinematic effect" to create an illusion that Sean Quinn was not telling the truth or that he couldn't be trusted.
He added that Mr Quinn is an "honest man" with "integrity," however the latest RTE series did not reflect that.
"There was no regulation whatsoever in the country at the time. There's no talk of the bankers who sailed off into the sunset, nobody was jailed.
"It just seems to be all focused on Quinn and that it was his fault.
"For a man to come to come from where he came from and to create jobs for the likes of people in Cavan, Monaghan, Fermanagh , Leitrim is just incredible.
"If they had of just gave him the chance to trade-out at the time, he needed more support."
