The security alert on the Cavan-Fermanagh border is expected to last until tomorrow at the earliest.
It's over a week since the Continuity IRA claimed it planted an explosive device in the area.
The main Cavan-Clones road has been closed for most of this week to allow the PSNI carry out its investigation in the area.
It will remain closed again until tomorrow at the earliest.
The CIRA subsequently claimed it had shot at a Police helicopter flying over the area last week but the PSNI says only a civilian helicopter was in the area at the time.
Police have thanked the people in the area for their patience but they say their "main priority continues to be safety of the community, police and partners".
