Water pressure has been reduced in the Cootehill area of Cavan as water levels have dropped in the local reservoir.
Issues with supply had been reported earlier today.
Local Councillor Carmel Brady says pressure has been reduced at the reservoir as levels are "dangerously low".
Cavan County Council says customers in Cootehill may experience reduced water pressure or loss of water supply and maintenance teams are currently investigating the issue.
They say they aim to resolve this situation as soon as possible.
Irish Water says it is working to restore water supply as quickly as possible to customers experiencing disruptions in the area.
In a statement to Northern Sound News it says "dedicated water service crews have mobilised and repairs are underway". It says further updates will be provided as repairs progress.
