Irish Water has confirmed this afternoon that water outages can be expected today in and around Cavan town.
It says a reservoir interruption will cause disruptions at Fairgreen Hill; College Street; Barrack Hill; Railway Road; Killygarry; Dublin Road Roundabout; Billis; Stragelliff; Kilnavara Lane; Cavan Town; and the surrounding areas.
It says that works being carried out to repair damage caused are nearing completion and supply should begin to return to all affected areas.
The water utility is recommending that it will take two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for supply to fully return.
