Water Babies, the world's leading baby swimming company, is thrilled to announce the launch of its multi-award-winning swimming classes at Enable Ireland, Rathcorrick in Cavan starting in February 2025. Every lesson in the Water Babies programme has been designed to make the most of babies' natural affinity with water and teach confidence and safety with the best trained teachers in the world.
Water Babies has been running Water Babies classes across Ireland for over 15 years and across the UK for over 20 years. Carol McNally started the Water Babies programme in Ireland back in 2009. Speaking to Northern Sound, Carol said; "We are so excited to offer the people of Cavan and surrounding areas the chance to bond with their little one and learn skills for life through swimming, with our baby swimming classes at Enable Ireland, Rathcorrick starting from February 2025. While Water Babies lessons include fun activities for both little ones and their carers, the classes also have an extremely serious added benefit. Worryingly, with drowning continuing to cause many accidental deaths in Ireland it's more important than ever to be as vigilant as possible around water."
In addition to the more serious safety skills, another key focus of the lessons is the enhanced bonding between carer and baby, and just having great fun together. Carol McNally adds, "with research showing that new mothers are less likely to suffer from post-natal depression if they can gain support from their peers, we’re very proud to offer the opportunity for carers to meet and learn a skill for life in the process."
