Storm Kathleen is heading to Ireland and is expected to make landfall on Saturday.
There will be a status orange alert for Cork, Kerry, Galway and Mayo from 7am on Saturday until 5pm.
A yellow wind warning has been issued for the entire country on Saturday. Met Éireann is warning of very strong and gusty winds from 7am to 8pm. Motorists are advised to expect difficult travelling conditions and fallen trees, while there's also a risk of coastal flooding.
