Walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinics will operate in Co Cavan this week as high levels of respiratory viruses continue to circulate.
No appointment is necessary and those attending can avail of their booster vaccine too.
Everyone aged 18-49 years is eligible for their second Covid-19 booster, provided it's six months since their last vaccine or since they had a Covid-19 infection.
The HSE will also issue a reminder text message to the 18-49 year olds due a booster - almost 1.7 million are in this group and to date 95,000 or 6% have taken their second booster vaccine
Meanwhile, clinics take place at Drumalee GAA Club House on Monday the 13th of February from 10am to 3pm, Tuesday the 14th of February from 1 to 6pm, and Saturday the 18th of February from 10am to 2.45pm.
Sinead McConnell, General Manager of the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme with HSE Community Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Monaghan, and Sligo, added that the virus is still very active and vaccination is the best protection against illness.
