As of 8pm turnout at Ballyjamesduff is at 54%.

There has been a marked increase in voter turnout at polling stations across Cavan-Monaghan this evening with less than 2 hours till polling stations close.

A total of 60,063 people are eligible to vote in Cavan and 49,089 in Monaghan, leaving a total poll of 109,152. There are 141 polling stations in Cavan and 118 polling stations in Monaghan.

There is a record 20 candidates contesting the Cavan/Monaghan constituency.

Turnout at St Tiarnach's NS in Clones as of 7pm was at 44%. Virginia has a percentage of 35% as of 5pm. Cavan Town is seeing turnout figures of 36% as of 7pm.

Castleblayney is now up on 38% of a turnout as of 7pm also. Cootehill turnout stood at 40% as of 7pm and at 4pm in St.Clare's Ballyjamesduff the turnout figure stood at 28%. As of 8pm the turnout in Monaghan Town stood at 53.5%

As of 8pm turnout at Ballyjamesduff is at 54%, while the figure as of 6pm in Bailieboro stood at 34%.

As we reach 7pm the turnout in Mullagh is at 60% in one booth and just over 50% in another, Crossreagh is at 52% and Killinkere is at 51%.
