Cavan General Hospital has introduced visiting restrictions due to the on-going surge in Covid-19.
The hospital says the virus is in the community, has increased in those attending the facility, and is in patients being admitted.
Visiting is now limited to critical, compassionate, and exceptional circumstances, however, maternity visits are not restricted.
Arrangements must be made prior to a visit with a Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward.
The hospital has also pointed out that one designated person can accompany a child being admitted.
As of this morning, there are 35 patients with Covid-19 in Cavan General Hospital, two of whom are in ICU.
"We ask that visitors only visit one patient during their designated visiting times," a spokesperson added.
"Please note that these visiting guidelines may be subject to change at short notice."
