Visiting restrictions at Cavan General Hospital will remain in place for the duration of this week.
The hospital has introduced visiting restrictions due to the on-going surge in Covid-19.
A spokesperson says the virus is in the community and has increased in those attending the facility, and in patients being admitted.
Visiting is now limited to critical, compassionate, and exceptional circumstances, but arrangements must be made prior to a visit with a Clinical Nurse Manager of the ward.
However, maternity visits are not restricted.
Meanwhile, only one designated person can accompany a child being admitted.
As of 8pm last night, 36 patients with Covid-19 were being treated in Cavan General Hospital, two of whom in ICU.
