A Virginia nursing home was found to be compliant or substantially compliant in all areas during an unannounced HIQA inspection in January.
Virginia Community Health Centre provides 24-hour nursing care to up to 56 residents who require long-term and short-term care.
The inspector said residents were positive about the care they received and added that the centre is "well-managed" and that residents receive a good standard of person-centred care.
Meanwhile, residents said the staff were excellent and attentive to their care needs and that there were a good variety of activities available to them.
Virginia Health Centre was deemed to be "substantially compliant" in seven of the 19 areas inspected.
However, these were risk-rated as "yellow", signifying a low risk, and a compliance plan has been enacted to bring these judgements to "compliant".
