A Cavan logistics company has agreed to a 'substantial investment' with the Irish arm of a private equity firm.
The deal will see MML Growth Capital Partners Ireland make an investment in Virginia International Logistics, alongside existing family shareholders.
The move is to underpin MML's expansion plans into the logistics market.
Virginia International Logistics was established in 1982 as a local transport business, and in 2022 operates a fleet of over 130 trucks, a 50,000 square foot facility in Kells and employs around 200 people.
In a statement, Managing Director Ray Cole said that with MML's experience, it's the perfect partner for the next stage of Virginia's journey.
