Virginia College in Cavan suffered damage as a result of Storm Eowyn when a tree fell on to the roof of the canteen.
The Emergency Works team in the Department of Education has been in regular contact with Cavan Monaghan ETB in relation to the matter.
The ETB is liaising with the insurance company and work to secure and repair the damage has already commenced. No classrooms were affected by the damage and the school is open and operating as normal.
