As part of the multi-storey investment in the Cavan school, four rooms will specifically cater for children who need additional supports.
The Department of Education yesterday gave the green light for a multi-million euro development at the east Cavan secondary school.
It'll see the development of nine general classrooms, three science labs, two special education teacher rooms, two special educational needs classrooms as well as two prep areas.
CEO of Cavan Monaghan Education and Training Board John Kearney said the application had a focus on meeting the needs of the students who'll be attending the school.
He added that the announcement is a testament to the work of the 750 students and 55 staff members, with the CMETB already working on getting similar announcements for other Cavan post-primary schools.
