Very inclement weather conditions is on the way across the region for the rest of the day and overnight tonight.
That's according to Cathal Nolan of Ireland's weather channel, who says we can expect a lot rain mixed with high winds as 'Storm Betty' approaches.
The Shannonside Northern Sound region comes under a status yellow warning from 5pm with difficult travelling conditions expected.
Meanwhile a status orange wind and rainfall warning has been issued for Cork, Waterford and Kilkenny which is valid from 9pm tonight
Sunny spells and scattered showers are expected over the weekend and mixed weather of showers and bright spells are to be expected as go through the early days of next week.
