Deputy Smith says disposable vapes are a blight on our environment, adding that they are hazardous if not recycled properly and they can be seen littered across the country, in all of our communities, in even the most remote locations.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly also plans to restrict flavours and advertising at the till.

Minister Donnelly is also set to draft laws to further clamp down on e-cigarettes.

TD's accepted the bill which also includes an advertising ban of vaping products around schools and on public transport, as well as a strict new licensing system for retailers selling vapes.
