Monaghan County Council members will write to the Minister for Transport Eamon Ryan as part of a concerted effort to meet and highlight to him the need for additional roads funding for the county.
The decision was made after Cllr PJ O’Hanlon put forward a motion to discuss the matter in more detail with Minister Ryan.
Cllr O’Hanlon says that roads are deteriorating in Co Monaghan and if money isn’t found, it could take 10 years to bring them back to standard.
