The month of December is the best time of the year to work in the hospitality sector.
That's according to John O'Neill who is the local branch representative of the Irish Hotels Federation for Cavan and Monaghan.
According to Mr O'Neill, customers are in "great form" over the festive period and the atmosphere is "fabulous" across hospitality venues.
Despite this, the local branch representative warned that hospitality businesses throughout Cavan and Monaghan will continue to face "enormous challenges" as a result of unsustainable cost increases in the year ahead.
Despite the financial boost of Christmas, Mr O'Neill said that fear will still remain in the minds of business owners as to how they will stay open during 2025.
