Upgrade of new 'pay and display' machines gets underway

Cavan County Council has commenced the upgrade of its pay and display parking machines in Cavan town. The work will involve the removal of redundant machines and the installation of 20 new pay and display parking facilities.

Works will take place at various locations, both on street and in public car parks around the town. These works are expected to continue for a minimum of two weeks. According to the local authority, the new machines will allow for contactless card payment as well as debit card, credit card, and coin transactions.

The new machines will be installed at the following locations: Farnham Street, 90 Farnham Street, 49 Church Street, 27 Church Street, 69 Main Street, Main Street Car Park, Main Street Car Park, Main Street Car Park, Main Street Car Park, 1 Thomas Ashe Street, 56 Main Street, Abbey St Car Park, 7 James Connolly Street, 119 College Street, 22 College Street, 51 Town Hall Street, 13 Town Hall Street, 45 Farnham Street, 14 Dublin Road and James Connolly Street
