A number of local community engagement events will take place over the coming weeks to allow people to explore and appreciate Cuilcagh Mountain.
The Cuilcagh and Slieve Anierin Project aims to highlight the valuable natural, historical and cultural heritage of this unique cross-border area.
The project will engage with local experts and will focus on a range of activities including talks, guided walks and events around the Cuilcagh and Slieve Anierin Uplands in Cavan, Fermanagh, and Leitrim.
Barney Devine, Local Co-Ordinator for the Cuilcagh and Slieve Anierin Project, said the project also aims to further enhance engagement on both sides of the border.
The first event is a free-of-charge heritage talk by local geologist and caver John Kelly about the legacy of iron-making around the mountains.
It will take place on Thursday, the 5th of May at 8pm in Trivia House, Swanlinbar, and no booking is required.
