Strong winds are expected on Sunday with temperatures set to drop further into next week.
"Unsettled" weather conditions will continue across the Northern Sound region this weekend. That's according to Cathal Nolan of Ireland's Weather Channel who was speaking on this morning's Joe Finnegan Show. According to the national weather forecaster, locals from across the Northern Sound region could see wind speeds of up to 90 to 100 kilometres per hour for a time on Sunday. While winds will not be as strong as those recorded during Storm Eowyn, they could still cause disruption to travel, power supplies and broadband connections, particularly on Sunday. Throughout the course of Sunday, Cathal reminded local drivers to be "vigilant" when out and about on roads, particularly in areas which are heavily forested. On Sunday night winds will ease off, however Cathal says "unsettled" weather conditions will continue into next with temperatures set to drop below average for this time of year:
